About Amber Perez

Hey there, I am Amber Perez. I have spent years working behind-the-scenes as a community advocate in Northeast Louisiana. I have sat in courtrooms, attended meetings and watched decisions get made that the public rarely hears about. That is why I started Chaos and Casefiles- because the community deserves transparency and accountability.

I have spent my life writing and journaling as a hobby and decided to combine that with my investigative skills to build a platform that I am proud to own independently. Behind me, there is no corporate newsroom restricting my coverage. What I have is a commitment to the truth and a responsibility to the public to provide factual information that is nonpartisan and loyal only to the truth.

My reporting goes beyond writing articles. When I uncover evidence of wrongdoing, I work closely with the appropriate agencies to seek accountability and change. Accountability isn’t just a word I use; it’s a standard I hold myself to.

If you have a tip, a story that needs to be told, or a voice to speak up on your behalf, I want to hear from you.

I always protect my sources with the upmost care for their livelihood and safety. Connect with me below if you’d like to talk more.
